"Hong Meiling's theme.

A hint of Europe, mixed with game music. (a 2:8 ratio) It's strange that it's not more Chinese, but that's because it's composed with the image of the French settlement in Shanghai in mind.
But, Meiling looks like she's not human. Then what is she... (eh)"---Zun's description at EoSD music room

It's quite interesting where you claim there is a king that rule a certain domain and all of the sudden another person comes up and literally kicks the other guy and stole the crown for himself/herself in a matter of seconds. Life at certain point becomes "limitless". It's interesting and gives us the illusion of an endless path, although everyone it's desalinated to death. It's quite sad you know? Sometimes I wonder what would be of my life if I wouldn't be ruled by time, but I guess even the death is ruled by it, so wishful thinking here about having infinite time.

Toshinori Hiramatsu, leader and only member of Sword of Justice circle brings always songs full of...justice. KakashiMr (a.k.a Emiya) enjoys his music a lot, and he made a pretty interesting question. Here I quote the message and the response:

Emiya:"I have never asked this but what are your musical inspirations? Like, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Megadeth perhaps? Or maybe some Japanese bands? LOUDNESS, Galneryus?
Dream Theater? Progressive Metal?
Because I like your guitar style a lot, your sound is very unique, and I don't hear many guitarists that play like you, so I was wondering"

Toshinori Hiramatsu: "Thank you! (^ω^). I am honored for you to say my musical instrument performance like that! The musician from whom I was influenced . . . Though it is a lot Of course, METALLICA,IRON MAIDEN are loved. similarly like TESTAMENT etc.I doesn't like excessively technical music.I love Japanese guitarist and bands. For instance,Fumihiko Kitsutaka(筋肉少女帯),Yuji Adachi(DEAD END),Luke-TakamuraⅢ(聖飢魔Ⅱ),ANTHEM,etc...
Please listen to their music once by all means.
There ware wonderful^^"

I can rest in peace now that I know someone has paid done full justice to the real "China Theme". It isn't that it hasn't been done before, as #87 demonstrated it's one of the most underrated themes of Touhou to be arranged. But without doubt, this song can easily claim to be one of the very best arranges of this theme. Full of crunchy guitar, the perfect amount of synth's, and the catchy lead and rhythm that characterizes China's theme, with the little neoclassical spice that Toshinori adds every now and then.

About "Chinese Tea VS Shanghai Alice of Meiji 17" topic. I understand it's a though battle. Both songs belong to a very good game soundtrack that can be perhaps the perfect example to define Zun music. EoSD soundtrack has that nostalgic vibe of the 90's that brings me back to my childhood, but it isn't as ancient as the PC-98 era. Both songs has catchy leads that you can hum all day, and both songs belong to one of the most loved character to the fandom. But still, I don't sea a reason why "Chinese Tea" is always preferred than "Shangai Alice of Meiji 17". Perhaps it's the beginning arpeggios of this song, one of the main features of it but difficult to do them on a guitar or any other instrument.

Anyway, best song from Toshinori so far, and best arrange of "Shangai Alice of Meiji 17", with the one of the most epic images I've ever seen. What more can you ask?
Special credit and hats of to our friend Macmaxi, who helped me to modify the image so there was no text on it. His talents behind a computer are "limitless".

Thanks for watching.
