[Original] - Solar Sect of Mystic Wisdom ~ Nuclear Fusion ~ Utsuho Reiuji's Theme
[Game] - Touhou 11: Subterranean Animism

It is generally acknowledged that such a renowned doujin community like Touhou will spark a lot of conflict in and out of itself when opinions diverge, and most honestly, when it comes to theme comparisons, I've read some nasty comments here on this wonderful hivemind we call youtube hellhole.
Even so and still, it's even easier get the crowd demeaning themselves all protective and whiteknight when Nuclear Fusion or Okuu are approached. Isn't it great, Utsuho? Everybody loves you! I do so myself, too. She's a very charismatic character. She's one of the most memorable characters and has absolutely mesmerizing performance in any part, whether it's her awe-inducing spell cards or appealing design (and respective secondary expansion by the fanbase). And then she's got one of the most powerful tunes in the series, there's no denying. It's a catchy and complex tune all in the same bowl, it is bound to work.

This is why I'm rendered a dandy ole grin each time I discover a new metal arrange of Nuclear Fusion, because it's perfect to be portrayed with crunchy riffs.
I thought it kinda funky that no one had uploaded this track yet so I'm doing it myself. Why was I surprised? In my opinion, this track's, much like Thunder Concerto to IRON, the start of an amazing touhou arranger. I didn't think Beyond the Grand River was as memorable as any of Wooming's works thereafter. And while Metalic Flare was this little track amidst the DMC fanfare parade town called Memento Mori, it should definitely gather some more attention. I still think it's one of the best Nuclear Fusion arranges to date; it doesn't stray too far from the original composition but then again, it holds no reason to do that. It's exactly as it should be. Perhaps it could've gotten more of an initial "oomph" but it picks up at around the minute mark.

This is nothing less than what I perceive to be the good standard Nuclear Fusion rendition here: add a dash of Wooming and a finger of Metal... Ladies and gentlemen, we are going to feast tonight.
