Today was announced CROW'SCLAW newest album that will be released on the C78. Yes, it's a Touhou arrange album under the name "Over the Rainbow". As we expected, the new album seems to be something more hard rock than the past releases. Yes, it would be something like Frozen Frog, except this time, instead of making Southern Rock arranges, he will feature some hard rock. Something inspired on "Deep Purple" and "Led Zeppelin". I am so excited about this, since Frozen Frog it's a gorgeous jewel of music. The idea of combining southern rock with Touhou was incredibly well done. Take for instance this arrange. Frozen Frog allowed me to expand my musical tastes, since from that album I started to dig more Southern Rock bands like Lynyrd Skynard, Outlaws, ZZ Top, among others. This contribued to my musical formation in a good way, and going retro with this new album since like the opportunity to do the same. About the arrange. What more can you say? That vibe from mid 70's inside of you. Bikinis, girls, Touhou, Yukari, and some blues riffs? What more can you ask. I must confess "Love-colored Master Spark" has never been one of my favorites, and so far I don't understand why many people find it so interesting. Perhaps is because the theme of one of the protagonist, but in my opinion, if we go for Marisa themes, "The Witche's ball" just kill it all. Still I can't take original "Love-colored Master Spark" after so many great arranges based on this. However this particular one is perhaps the best arrange it will ever be created for this theme, since it reflects Marisa's personality very well. Humorous, sarcastic, always staying cool in the worst situations and most of all without loosing her charm, her "blondiness", and her style. What can I say? A total English lady in all the fashions. Let us wait for the next CROW'SCLAW album, so we can crank our volume to 11 and rock the world of Gensoukyou once again. Thanks for watching. |
