Don't you find a bit ironic that IKUTO's circle is named exaclty the most heaviest albums of heavy metal in story? I mean, we all know he enjoys heavy metal but he doesn't sound, neither looks like the Slayer kind of fan.

Anyway, as you may already now I will repeat the "PC-98 special" returns!
Looks like Kana's wishes become true huh? (Check video #100 for this last claim)

Comparing music beetwen the "retro" era of Touhou and the "modern" era (Yes, aparently now we have a timeline of touhou games), is something diffcult and in most cases it's useless since you are comparing different elements that belongs to different categories.

Still, contradicting myself with my last statemant, I have to give credit to the PC-98 series to have the most memorable, mealncolic, and dramatic sound out of all ZUN's composition. There is a reason for this, since in the past you didn't had many technology to enchance your songs into the game, yet I believe there was a strong effort to produce a memorable and enviromental tune leaving extras aside.

Perhaps one of the most memorable and dramatic songs of PC-98 era is "Lost Dream".
I believe its a very special song, since it really melts into your heart, filled with sadness and melancholy. Yes, most PC-98 songs are like this, however I feel sometimes it's something composed on pourpouse. Something kinda "fake" if you want to call it that way, with high pitched tones and sad tunes, but "Lost Dream" is really honest in it's motive I believe, and I consider it one of the best tracks ZUN has composed.

Chances are that you may already heard about this album, its a PC-98 album done by CASTER, not by IKUTO.
While it has that signature sound on the drums of South of Heaven (horrid drum EQ), I have to give credit to the guitar in here. The arranges are made incredible fine, and the guitar tone is to die for.
