It doesn't specify them, but from the song title and original track it's quite easy to deduce the entity. So, it tells me that this song has copied Emotional Region starting on the 00:15 mark. Now, that song is an arrangement of "The Gensokyo the Gods Loved" which as everyone knows belongs to ZUN, but isn't copyrighted since he gives permission for people to use his stuff as long as they credit him and keep the stuff only inside the doujinshi market. If it wasn't for that there wouldn't be so many arrangements, if any at all. Copyrighting an arrangement of a song is kind of a douche move by IOSYS, since almost every arrangement of Gensokyo the Gods Loved from any circle is going to have parts that sound pretty much the same. And this C-CLAYS arrangement has a pretty different style from IOSYS arrangement. Is Emotional Region a good arrangement? Yes, indeed it is. Does it differ enough from the original song it was based on to even deserve to be copyrighted? I don't think so. But that's just my opinion and I'm not even going to dispute the claim, I'll let them decide it for themselves what they'll do to this video. |
