"This is Shou Toramaru's theme.

I gave this song a quiet, but strong feel. The second half is awfully boss-ish.
It's a feeling of dignity rather than terror.
Still, those lasers coming one after the other are pretty scary.
They're old-man killers you need really good reflexes to dodge."
-ZUN, from the UFO music room, translated by Toho Wiki

I swear ZUN's comments are getting weirder and weirder with each game. But it fits perfectly, because I know very well that when I think about "strange Touhou themes" this song will be one of the number ones that will come to my mind.
Yes, Shou's theme is a heck of weird masterpiece. Sometimes you wonder wtf ZUN is thinking when he composes some songs.
Booze of course, "Booze induced music".

So, let's talk business.
This is a requested song and so, here I have, for you Shou fans, another very weird arrange of Shou's theme (as if O-Life wasn't weird enough already). So as you can tell we have a totally new circle (yes, yipee!), it's their first album too, and not bad at all, great starts always are good signs.
What makes the arrange weird? Well actually on first glance the album is like... a folksy tribal album, not that weird at all. Like take this track for instance, as you can tell the intro is just a casual piano with some nice background (synth choruses and good percussions), that is until you start paying close attention to those keyboards, like 0:35 for instance. Y'know I think the guy was drunk while he arranged this. The keyboards obviously have some kind of... interplanetary, space, LucasArts intent in them. In other words, the UFO intent, maybe the arranger was trying to copy ZUN's keyboards? Star Wars x UFO? Why hasn't IOSYS done something about this already?
I repeat that other than epic I consider this weird, that doesn't deny the fact that it's pretty good, not amazing though, there are some flaws here and there and the song could have been made longer, clearly. Again, "Booze Induced Music".

Also, do this, go against Shou in your UFO, mute the music and play this song, you'll see that it somehow fits perfectly in the battle.
Whoever got caught by surprise by the amount of Shou's lasers, admit it and post a comment (I know you did, post a comment already).

Thanks for watching!
