Description | Title: Compressed Power Artist: Tatsh&Katsumi Yoshihara Album: FAR EAST OF EAST Circle: TatshMusicCircle Original: 小さな小さな賢将 (A Tiny, Tiny, Clever Commander) Good thing no one ever dared to bet with me about the destiny of metal arrangers and "A Tiny, Tiny, Clever Commander". Since the demo of UFO, I knew this was going to be the jewel of most metal arrangers. I mean, the beginning starts with drop tuned guitars (I doubt ZUN was aware this, since as we all know, he uses keyboards), allowing to make sound those power chords with the power of thousand angry mouses. Beign the first song for a boss on UFO, the only thing you can await is for more and more epicness, since "A Tiny, Tiny, Clever Commander" is without a doubt, one of the best songs in the entire soundtrack. To be honest, I was waiting anxiously the arrange of CROW'SCLAW of this song, but since now Taka seems more focused into his solo career rather than making arranges of games, I was left all alone, waiting for someone to make justice. Don't take me wrong, IRON ATTACK!'s arrange is godly (not to mention it was the first one), and I still hope IKUTO from South of Heaven grab his almighty 7 string guitar and make of this song sound more bad ass. But I've never expected, that a newcomer in Touhou arranges made.....the incredible master piece of art that you are listening right now. You remember Tatash right? (Lunasa 166.6), well turns out that most of this album is full of crunchy riffs. While it is not instrumental, and some things tend more to rock than metal, but this jewel is without a doubt, the best song of the album, and without a doubt again, it is probably one of the greatest arranges out there. Combining the progressive elements, and crunchy sounds from that guitar (actually, I still don't know if it is a synth or a real guitar), not to mention the master work behind the keyboards, make of this video, probably the one that describes the channel better. So you herd it, if you want to introduce someone to the channel, copy the link and paste it to him/she/it, since this song has all the meaning of "Progressive Metal" in it. Without a doubt, one of the best songs it has been uploaded here. Curious fact of the day! Did you know that? "According to the game transcript (namely Reimu-A and Marisa-B), Nazrin is the only stage 1 boss in a Windows game to escape rather than actually be defeated by the heroine." Thanks for watching. |
