I am not aware of the circle's artist, or if it was his/her own work, but I wanted to add it to my list of songs on this account. All in all, I thought it was a spectacular arrange of Hokkai. The subtle changes in the tune give it a unique feel compared to spot-on renditions. Hokkai continues to be my favorite Touhou song, as I felt so much from it the first time I heard it. After fighting your way through 5 stages, you reach this dark and unknown place, yet you are greeted with this song. Should you feel fear? Or should you feel as though you are being shown the beauty of what most would acknowledge as evil? To me, Fires of Hokkai is a song that represents the acknowledgment of something powerful and maybe destructive, as beautiful or perhaps even misjudged. Some would agree that Hijiri Byakuren is a character who mirrors these qualities, which furthermore supports my view. Though regardless of how it makes me feel, I hope you enjoy it!
