Incidentally, Hina is the leader of the Nagashi-bina doll army. Together, they keep close guard of the Youkai Mountain, so as to prevent some goofy chucklefuck of a human being driven into entering that cursed place. Whichever methods drive this task, laud or not, are ultimately moot. After all, wouldn't you rather get your ass kicked by a beautiful girl, rather than a rampage of angry Kappas? Or even some hungry youkai goddess? I supposed so. Dark Side of Fate embraces Hina's personality in a whole, don't you think? It's weird, jumpy, almost mocky. Maybe that's just another weapon in Hina's sleeve to scare off said unfortunate people. Or maybe it's a theme formed by countless of years of absorbing the dreadful curses of everyone she's faced. And to that matter, we tip our hat off to Hina, and encourage her workstyle even further, for after picking up the mood, Dark Side of Fate is a truly stunning piece. I really dig xi-on, he sounds like the coolest guy in the universe. He's a really talented chap, considering each and every ditty of sound here is powered by our fella. I wouldn't expect less from him. The 4th spell is absolutely beautiful. While it's not the crunchy type of rock to expect from the bigger fish, it's definitely an amazing album on its own right. |
