Description | Touhou Labyrinth 2; Battle with Ame-no-Murakumo Player: kkcwkoh == Expedition Team == Komachi Onozuka - Guardian Subclass Reimu Hakurei - Enchanter Subclass Ibara Kasen - Transcendent Subclass Ran Yakumo Flandre Scarlet - Gambler Subclass Reisen Udonge Inaba Eirin Yagokoro Aya Shameimaru Remilia Scarlet - Monk Subclass Tenshi Hinanawi Rumia Sanae Kochiya Average Team Level: 100 ============================================= A pretty tough and nerve wrecking boss if you were to fight it unprepared. The Ame-no-Murakumo sports a ridiculously high physical and magic defense, rendering many of your attackers nearly useless. To make matters worse, it has multiple phases in which its defenses increase with each phase, making it hard for your units to deal damage. It is weak against Dark element which makes Kasen, Rumia, and Flandre a good choice to bring along. They can really wreck-house on that sword (especially Flandre) when you debuff it enough times. Bringing a Monk subclass would be good as well due to the defense ignoring skills it bestows upon the character. Technically, my team is around Lv.130, however the same strategy still applies. The battle just progressed slightly faster that's all. The roles I've delegated to my team is as follows: Komachi - Tank, minor debuffer, and switcher Reimu - Support (multi-heal and offensive/defensive boost) Kasen - Tank and attacker Remilia - Tank and attacker Ran - Offensive party-wide buffer Flandre - wreck-house with that Starbow Break Reisen - Main debuffer Eirin - Standby healer Aya - Provide extra turn to other units Tenshi - Nullify boss's buff Rumia - Attacker Sanae - Single healer and buffer The entire boss fight is essentially about ATB management, as it is able to KO your squishy units (Rumia, Flandre, Aya, etc) in one blow. Due to that, I had Komachi, Reimu, Kasen, and Remilia take the front line as they are able to tank a majority of the sword's attack. The attackers/debuffers are switched in and out depending on the sword's ATB bar. Phase 1 is essentially one of the best time to buff up the main attackers as the sword only perform single target attacks. Ran's party-wide buff is incredibly useful as it buffs up your main attackers without exposing them to danger. Around the 50% HP mark (phase 3), the sword will begin casting buffs on itself. This is where Tenshi shines the most due to her ability to nullify those buffs. Needless to say, It is definitely crucial to keep her alive for the 4th phase. If she falls before or during that phase, surviving the fight would be quite difficult. On an unrelated note, I do adore the final boss music. It certainly makes the fight quite majestic / dramatic. |
