This one is such a fun upload. I've seen a lot of fowks complaining that Taka went soft shit on this album, which actually is mildly true, but that just goes to add to his incredible range of shredding. Taka will play any style you want, that's how he rolls. Incidentally, this one looks like glaringly straight from one of Satriani's renditions. Arguably this could have been his inspiration, because if you listen to the whole album, it exudes reminiscing of good ol' Joe any day, pretty easy melody with mild beats for a chillin' song of sorts. Seems like Taka just grabbed onto his sunglasses and took an afternoon of shredding to churn out this one, haha. On a related note, this is my 3rd most listened Touhou song ever... It managed to sum up nearly 300 plays. Granted, this was also one of my first Touhou doujin listens. Maybe it's why I hold in so high and dearly in my heart. It's been well over the years, man. Comiket 73 is long gone. I was not even around by then, I only picked up at 75. I suppose I'm not around for even that long now, am I. Still, this looks like a pretty Summer-ish tune, and all the power and upbeatness just add to an amazing chock of pleasant emotions. I love this man, I really do... |
