DescriptionTitle: Nightmare Syndrome
Artist: uco
Circle: Love Madness
Album: 極楽蝶の舞う丘で
Original: ティアオイエツォン(withered leaf) (Diao ye zong (Withered Leaf))

"This song is a weird one. Yeah.
My original intent with this was to make it highly folkish, but since it's too calm, it ended up half-folkish.
I composed this with the image of Tohno village in mind. The melody is a bit nostalgic and makes you imagine that there used to be old villages like this in Japan, too."

Epic intro is epic, can't be simpler than that.
However, if I have to speak with the truth I would say I'm still not convinced with this arrange at all.
But first, proper introductions are meant to be done I guess.

"Love Madness" is a sub circle (if there wasn't enough confusion already) of a circle called "Nigrante". They have just released one album, and it's still fresh since I'm pretty sure its from the C79. "Nigrante" seems to be the usual doujin gothic female vocal circle. However, don't get too excited with this song circle in terms of metal, since this is the only metal piece I consider worth to listen on the rest of the album. There are other 4 heavy metal tracks that they just didn't caught my attention (mainly because its a vocal album), however, this particular song had something...

When I first herd this song, my first thought on the intro was "another jewel lurking on the underground". As you can probably tell by now, when the singer starts doing her thing my face went from excitement to sadness. And here is the deal. If you just can't reach high notes, you wether don't compose in a high pitch, or as a vocalist you have to let know the rest of the guys composing they are out of their mind if they think your voice can reach those levels. Sure, it's fan made, everyone does whatever they love to and no one gets a beat for that, however I don't sympathize with the voice on this one. And it isn't the tone or the style, seems pretty good to be along the Gothic scene. It's just that I would have loved she would lower the pitch a bit, so it wouldn't have been painful to the ears listening this.

After some time, I decided I wanted to share it with you, and let you draw your own conclusions about the voice. About the song itself, it's certainly a very good arrange. You never think they can turn out of a minor and almost a joke character (is Chen really that serious?") a gigantic hymn that pictures her defending with her own life Ran and Yukari. To be honest, Chen's themes, both stage and boss are full of charm, and it's just one of the songs that ZUN composes and you just can't get it out of your head the first time you heard it. Plus, I always feel "fuzzy and warm" when I hear both songs. I don't know if it's the setting of environment in the game, or its something I'm making it up, but the feeling is still there, and I say that after all, that's what it counts.

I wonder why there are so many feline characters on Touhou and only one wolf? I like dogs, and I demand a loli dog on future touhou games.

Thanks for watching.
