| Description | A.k.a. "Let Me Show You Some Magic, Dear Child" Hm, out of a sudden I have the urge to write something about Mima. Well, where do I start? Mima, as everybody know, is one of the most, if not THE most popular character from the PC-98 era. Although I really like her as a player in Mystic Square, I actually don´t know why she´s that popular. Not that I´m implying Mima is a bad concepted character, but it´s rather weird that she has such a huge fanbase. When I think of other characters, like Rika, Meira or Ellen, I feel utterly sad about them because they´re not as memorized as Mima. Maybe it´s the fact that she had, alongside with Marisa, her apprentice and disciple, the most appearances, with the exception of Reimu but that´s obvious. Or her almost cynical and sadistic conversation with her Danmaku opponents. But nonetheless, I like Mima as much as every other character of the PC-98 era. They all have their peculiar personality and backstory, which makes them as interesting as the Windows characters. Hopefully, there are more who have the same thought. Well, for the arrangement, I wanted to give it a sad but also a climatic feeling. It´s supposed to express Mima´s backstory and the will and determination to return to her body in order to become human again. Her will to break the chains of her existince as a spirit/ghost. I think it turned out the right way. From now on, I´ll rank my personal work in a ranking from 1-10, so you have an insight of what I´m actually doing. :-) Time: Around 1 1/2 hour Effort: 8/10 Satisfaction: 9/10 Exhaustion: 6/10 Fun at arranging: 10/10 PS: I really like Mima! I just can´t comprehend the hype about her. |
