"S'bit chilly, ain't it?" You shiver as your toes curl up at the icy cold of the lake.
"Yeah, it is. But it's good, isn't it?"
"I don't see how you figure."
"I can feel it, Marisa. I can feel the cold, the water, my nerves shrieking in pain. It's reminding me that this is all real. That I'm actually alive. That this isn't a dream anymore."
"... hey, Reimu, are you okay?" You watch, puzzled, as tiny, tiny droplets glimmer briefly and fade as they run down the shrine maiden's cheeks. She accidentally drops the hem of her skirt that she was holding as they waded into the chilly embrace of the water's edge as she tries to quickly wipe the tears away, causing the fabric to land softly in the lake, and before she can lift it back up, it's already soaked.

"Ah, damn it." She curses softly, but you can see that it isn't really bothering her at all. However, you notice that you've been staring at her this whole time, and in your embarrassment your face flushes a warm shade of pink.

The shrine maiden shrieks a little.

"Hey Marisa, what the hell was that for!?" and you can't help but laugh as she stands there, arms crossed, annoyed and drenched, her clothes clinging to her skin and her dark hair matted with water. She irritably pulls away the strands of hair sticking to the sides of her face. All this was well worth kicking a tsunami's worth of water over her to cover up your embarrassment. She really hadn't noticed your crimson cheeks either way. All she cared about now was the fact that she was freezing, and didn't have a change of clothes.

"Marisa, you know I don't have anything spare!"
"Hmm, really? I don't think I knew that at all. Well, we all know what's happening now either way~!"
"Hah, as if! I'm just gonna have to wear something of yours then."
"Naaah, I think I like you better like this~"
"Shut up!!"

As the two continued to bicker, a shadow watched them from the distance. She twirled her umbrella and smiled, for once not with a sense of mischief or malice; this time she smiled sweetly and with happiness. She looked down at her reflection, and gave her a friendly wave. Chuckling at her silly action, she returned to looking back at the two, now both completely soaked after having a little "danmaku battle" with water bullets.

She closes her eyes slowly and sighs deeply. When the two on the shore look into the distance, they see nothing but the crystalline blue where that purest sky and sea meet; the shadow watching them has vanished.
