Sorry guys, I know you might be thinking "I can't believe I'm listening to this track for the 10th time" (that's my guess of how many times it'll be uploaded), but hear me out. This references another artist. I've fallen into the habit of uploading these (Van Halen, Meshuggah, Pendulum, The Flashbulb, Disarmonia Mundi, Soilwork, these have been "homaged" in the past, but there are more), and this is one of them, it just happens to be more recognizable.

Anyways! There is more Comiket and thus more talent to showcase.

The track that you're listening to is a reconstruction of a track made in 2008 by an electronic music group called Noisia - that's Groundhog. It was released in an EP called Seven Stitches (I have this record), and has since become a tune liked by many electro listeners, including many japanese artists, and Shibayan. From simpler times without abusing the LFO (I don't mean that in a bad way). Just a hard hitting bass.

The cover of this album is in itself a Touhou version of the cover for Split The Atom, a full-length released by Noisia. Look up both covers on Google, as the image in this video is unrelated.
Check this out, a myon-fied version of Groundhog. How cool is that?

If this is your first time listening to Shibayan, don't get the wrong idea. This guy can pull his weight around. Despite this tribute, Shibayan has developed a style of making electro that stands out easily from other groups, including western acts, and is personally one of my inspirations in terms of composition and mix. His tracks usually do drag on, but they don't outstay their welcome. It takes a certain expertise to pull that off.

Note: the audio seems to be slightly faulty at times, however, I got it this way. I'll upload a better version once it's available.
