(Wouldn't be able to tell ya ;^^) [http://k38.kn3.net/DBFCF0AC5.jpg] ----- Time for something a little bit different. This isn't a Touhou arrange, but rather a Higurashi no Naku Koro ni arrange. Higurashi is an anime series, which just so happens to be my all time favourite anime. Foreground Eclipse has done 2 arranges from Higurashi, and this is one of them. Now, Higurashi's creator Ryukishi 07 and ZUN, creator of Touhou, are actually friends, so there is SOME relation. No, really, there is! Suwako was influenced by Hanyuu from Higurashi, for example. Dear, You (or Thanks, You) is a theme that plays in the Visual Novels of the anime and does not actually play in the anime itself. The theme is also used as the base for everyone's character theme, but Dear, You, is the original. I suggest looking it up~ I look back at the song now and feel it's probably actually more about Rika Furude than anyone... but I guess it could go just as good with anyone in some cases. Still, more so Rika than Rena or Keiichi which I mention below. Anyway, about the song. If you haven't watched Higurashi, it may not be overly easy to understand. This is just my interpretation of the song, there are many others. I like to think it revolves around either Keiichi or Rena, despite me just using a Rena image. The well they were happy is symbolic of what they knew. They were happy knowing nothing of the town's secrets and just having fun with their friends. The box that contains something warm or cold is different for both of them. Rena received Takano's notes on Hinamizawa, hoping that by reading them she could learn something, for better or for worse. Keiichi on the other hand decided to pry into the secrets of the town by himself, taking things into his own hands. Both of them had their worlds spiral into chaos and despair, wanting to do anything to have the happy times come back. If you know Higurashi, you'll know that there are many worlds, all of which eventually lead to ruin. Each one with its own opportunity to be the perfect world with a faint glimmer of hope. In the end of EVERY arc, it comes down to trusting in your friends. If Keiichi didn't inquire on his own and just asked his friends, or if Rena talked with the others before murdering Mrs. Skanky McScankington, they may have all led better lives. That's what I love about Higurashi :3 No matter how long it takes, or how hard it seems, just believe in each other and never give up. Because, "everyone, even you, have the right to be happy." Your friends are the best support you could ever ask for. Side note: Merami's voice. Have you heard it? |
