DescriptionTitle: Sky Starbreaker
Artist: IRON - CHINO
Circle: IRON ATTACK!
Album: 嵐のハリケーン
Original: 星の器 ~ Casket of Star (Vessel of Stars ~ Casket of Star)

Did you know that Marisa has 6 themes in total? Beats any other character in music, even the shrine maiden Reimu Hakurei.
"星の器 ~ Casket of Star " was the second, back on the PC-98 era, and is in fact one of the most popular.
I have to accept the fact that this theme has never been in my cup of tea, but I think I haven't herd it with enough time or patience, since this arrange has really caught my attention.

Featuring content from the last IRON ATTACK! album, it wasn't a suprise for me soon or later he would doing an arrange of this song, but I've never imagined it would be like this.
Just to note that this song isn't the highlight of the album, as the cover display the usual busty Eirin with IRON!'s signature flying V, leading me to think that the arrange of "History of the Moon" is actually the one he wanted to feature most.
However I couldn't resist to use this song, because it's the one I consider best for many reasons.

One comment that many users made on the past channel was that "All made by IRON sounds the same".
It is indeed something true, I mean not ALL, but many things carry a rather similar feeling and taste making it something boring after certain time. Not by the fact you choose the same chords and scales mean it will get boring. Taka from CROW'SCLAW is perhaps the best example. But I consider that it is also need to be considered the "neo-classical" factor in it, and the evident influences that IRON! has when he arrange.

However, this particular song was incredible. It contained something slightly different from the past IRON ATTACK! efforts, that weren't bad at all, but they indeed shared something very similar. Perhaps the "chorus" line of this song is arranged so well, and the harmony is so well constructed, that it really gives a fresh and tastier flavor to IRON ATTACK! sound.
Aside from that, the acoustic/lead break in the middle of the song gives one extra point to the charm of the song, and it makes this of this music, a totally fitting theme for the western witch.

Here is the curious fact of the day.
Despite being a western style magician and fitting the classic image of a witch, Marisa's most precious item is an eastern style Hakkero: a mini furnace in the shape of an octagonal block with the eight trigrams printed in a circle on its front. Despite its small size (it fits easily in the hand), it is a potent source of magical energy and has the firepower to burn down a mountain. Marisa usually uses it like a normal furnace and treats it with good care. It is the only treasure Marisa collected that is used and taken care of on a regular basis. Marisa is frequently depicted using the Hakkero to power her Master Spark. The original Hakkero was an item in the Chinese classic "Journey to the West", where it was used by gods to create spiritual medicine.

Thanks for watching.
