Description | [Title] - 萃 ~ Missing Relics [Author/Circle] - Hijiri / SOUND HOLIC [Album] - SOUND HOLIC MEETS TOHO ~東方的紅蓮烈火弾~ [Event/Date] - Comiket 72 (Aug 17, 2007) [Original] - Onigashima in the Fairyland ~ Missing Power ~ Suika Ibuki's Theme [Game] - Touhou 07.5: Immaterial and Missing Power Aaaah, this new video layout, it glows with the sound of progresssss *shivers* That sound glows, fowks, is the lesson for the day. I'm not gonna whine about it though, it's actually pretty clean and dandy. I like it. This is also incidentally the video of the day, as my stocked up pile of videos in which I've been nourishing to keep the rate up has come to an end. I'll have to make a few more, and unfortunately, this weekend I'm already hands-full with a bunch of crap. So as I present to you, the first Onigashima arrange, the theme I often overlook. You know, when the leap from 7.5 to 10.5 was made, Suika's theme dropped out for a reason, eh? I mean, pre-battle status for a track such as Broken Moon is quite unrewarding. So it's no wonder. I also believe this is a good track, except it doesn't seem to be Suika-ish in my eyes, is all. Someone will disagree; that's alright. I thought this was a beautiful track, and moreso majestic and elegant than Suika. Even though, it is her theme and no way can we deny this fact of life *shrugs*. Seemingly I tend to gravitate around this album a lot, even when I don't intend to. That may be because the spectrum of artists involved is quite wide. That is more than prominent in our crew at Sound Holic, right? Hijiri did a wonderful work with implementation of vocals in this one to be noted. It sends off that eerie, catastrophic mood and builds up to an epic scenario of sorts. Perhaps a war in which Oni are involved? That would be quite daunting. I think it's one of the most rightful arranges of Onigashima I've ever heard, so here's to you, orchestra in a cup. -- The Suzuran Parlour: http://thesuzuranparlour.wordpress.com/ |
