In a Comiket defunct and deserted of worthwhile Original CD arranges in a whole, Clear Quartz make their very welcomed (re?)surgence in the aftermath of the giant releases.

This Greenwich in the Sky arranges is very peculiar to the extent I think it manages to portray the feeling of the original even better. I'm sure you've all come to notice the jumpy and almost mocky tune behind it, and the atmosphere it gives off is certainly one of the most dense, intense from the whole series, paired with Dark Side of Fate and Interdimensional Voyage, perhaps. They're all prime examples of what will ZUN do when he's under a wider spectrum of questionable beverages, so to speak.

Clear Quartz on the other hand, it just came out from the royal greenwich in the sky like it was no thing. I've never heard of these guys (maybe I'm doing it wrong, it's a distinct possibility), but I'm rather surprised. This album is depicting of what could potentially be a great circle in the future, that is, if they just kicked on, because as mentioned, I have no clue who they are.

If you've been reading for long enough, you've probably grown used to me finishing by saying "it's not groundbreaking, but it's a pretty lovely composition nonetheless".
However, this time around, it seems it's quite the opposite. It is a very interesting intake on Greenwich in the Sky (to the extent is deviates from the normal tempo and melody), and while not exactly a beacon of genius, it's also pretty fanciful all things considered.
