DescriptionIf you can wait for the full quality it'd be great. Btw, what's with the new Youtube HD? I don't understand it at all.

First Song: 東方華想神月~introduction

Second Song (from 1:10): 月は幻想のままに

Final Song (from 4:30): 東方天ノ神月~introduction

Artist: 時音 (TOKINE)
Circle: MAIKAZE
Album: 東方神月譚
Originals: 神々が恋した幻想郷 (The Gensokyo The Gods Loved)
The intro and closing themes are apparently originals (?) well, they seem like arrangements of some title tunes to me.

Folk is picky music, or you love it, or you just plain hate it, that's what I think (somewhat like jazz). Of course, for people who want epic stuff it's clearly not in that category, and will never be. When you talk abut folk you imagine Celtic music, Irish music or stuff like that, but we cannot forget that a lot of folk masters are Japanese people, "Japanese" music in strict sense is folk, with typical Japanese instruments, but it's still a type of folk music.

In Touhou we have various artists that like to arrange in folk style, the most exponential being O-Life, although recently, instead of folk, that guy has been doing some strange "other" stuff. Thus, the only other artist that remains is k-Waves, who is the one-man Irish music arranger. Still, we aren't in the Japanese section, since Irish arranges aren't Japanese (duh...). I'll admit there isn't "a lot" of Japanese folk, there are some albums and some arrangers (insert some kanji name here), like Takumi's album, but other than that there isn't much. And truly, MAIKAZE isn't one of them. Most people know MAIKAZE from being the artists behind the OP of the touhou anime (blasphemy), and consequentially they tend to do mostly poppish techno stuff. But, in the past I have stumbled in a few classical arranges by them, they aren't bad, not at all really.

So anyways, rant aside, this is the meaning of Japanese folk. The wind instruments in these arranges do most of the job with good background (which normally lacks in a lot of arranges, i.e. Melodic of Harp, try and learn) from some ambient to some evident techno beats in the second song and of course some good percussions. It's thanks to that background that the song sounds so good, almost mystical, really, thus the title.
Of course, the flutes aren't bad at all, they are really nice and well done. And, we can't forget to piano, it's also one of the song's merits.
I really liked the first and last songs, but since they where so short I couldn't upload them separately, so I tried to make them fit in with the middle song, which is also gorgeous (no exceptions).

I think we can all agree that Nitori's stage theme is the best for the job of folk arranges, since it has a huge folk influence.

P.S. Btw, I finally reuploaded the Immoral Compilation Part 2, since I got more feedback saying that it was corrupt, for those who wanted it but got a corrupt file, go ahead and grab it, it contains that epic Remilia arrange, the Hellfire Mantle arrange and that epic 69th video.

Thanks for watching!
