| Description | I'm really sorry that the first video that I upload in forever is a video of this nature. I just felt that I needed to do something in order to spread the word around, and this is obviously the best way to reach out to a lot of Touhou fans in one go. =P You might have already heard about the indie game developer team FromSoySauce and their ambitious Touhou Super Smash Battles that never came to fruition because of reasons. If you haven't I hope that you put time and effort into finding out, because it is in my honest opinion that these guys are ruining the good reputation of ZUN and the western Touhou fanbase. You should know about all of this and you should definitely voice your opinions! A short summary of the entire farce follows. The controversy started when Saijee, the leader of the project, came up with the idea that their Touhou Super Smash Battles project should be crowdfunded. He went with the idea regardless of all the warnings he got from people who are much more educated about the nature of doujin works, and the fact that there could be potential copyright issues in the funding of a game based off of another individual's intellectual property. They went with the crowdfunding and people continued to express their concerns on Youtube, Facebook and MotK. Even our humble little Swedish Touhou chat had erupted into people asking what the hell they were trying to do. Everything kept falling on deaf ears. We were just told to wait for a "Yes" or "No" from ZUN. ZUN eventually filed a DMCA complaint with the help of Fumiyo Oyamada and the crowdfunder got taken down. FSS, having had their pride hurt, went on to antagonize ZUN, calling his guidelines "Not up to date" and "Vague". All this while it never came as a surprise to anyone else. Just look at the people from MotK! They warned him well ahead of time... While the crowdfunder is down and they've skinned the project of its Touhou content, they are still slandering ZUN and Touhou Project. Their latest video is particularly obnoxious. I'll put in some links below. They should cover most of all this drama. I can't promise that the contents on MotK haven't been manipulated by staff members, but the Facebook and Youtube comments remain untouched. Pretty much the only commendable thing about FSS is that they never actually censored anyone...
