DescriptionAll she ever wanted to be in life was a pretty little girl, however ostensibly, fate has dealt her quite a different hand...

As we rampantly skim into this year's summer Comiket season, tasofro shows us just what they've been brewing over the past 3 years.

After an under-acclaimed first installment, Super Marisa Land, which fell, amidst various gameplay inconsistencies and shortcomings, to shallowness and simplicity, New Super Marisa Land makes its long-due resurgence which is sure to appease and please any zealot Touhou and platforming enthusiasts. I've managed to produce this nefarious ghoul of 400MB under the intention of reproducing first-hand experience through video form, and while I could've uploaded a handful of arranges with the time and room this has taxed, I'm sure you won't regret it after you're done through.

I played until sensibly what is mid-world here, the third stage, to grow familiar with controls, any potential quirks and whatnot, and then recorded over.
I wonder why doujin games always have very uncomfortable controls. Believe me, what you take as granted here is nearly not as conceded to you when you try it yourself. The controls are absolutely insidious. If I were to describe them they're like Super Marisa World's in most way, shape and form. They're also somewhat akin to Castlevania to a certain extent, perhaps less stiff. This is pretty much the only thorn in a set of stuff I deem as a laudable improvement over everything that was Super Marisa Land.

I hope the video channels the following by itself but I reiterate: this game is downright infatuating. The context is brimming with charm and dripping atmosphere all over the place (such that it's kinda gross). The gameplay needs no introduction for anyone since it's based on classic super mario mechanics. There is an analogous for every enemy you encounter in Nintendo's franchise with an added twist to them, providing a nostalgic, yet refreshing experience.

The game's difficulty is somewhat slanted over the later worlds but it's always bearable (given that you're familiar with platformers, that goes with saying). The art is as adorable as ever and miko Marisa might be a sounding plus for many miko-aficionados out there! In addition, I've had more mushroom-type items in my sleeve, such as suwako-marisa or reisen-marisa, so parents out there, if you ever had trouble feeding your children the right meal, know that there is a handy amount of mushroom-styled items in this game!

The soundtrack is as compelling and enticing as ever. I just hope Tai no Kobone is under the same impression and produces another arrange in Stride Marisa's vogue. That would be all flavors of amazing.

In this particular footage, I record the whole first world sans the secret exit (and red star collectibles) which is located somewhere in the first level. I'll probably annotate it in the video stance itself. I bonk my head continuously into walls, do some routine push-ups to prepare for the oncoming endeavors and overall carve the path of a champion (or something).

I put an extra spring on my step and try to pull off stunts I probably end up stumbling upon for some hilarious reason.

The rest is pretty much self-explanatory. Girls are being silly, please, let's watch warmly.

So now that I'm done shilling up this detriment force we call secondary doujin games, I'll take my leave and enjoy my weekend!

WELP, looks like 12.8 will have to wait.
