Original: 幼幻視の夜 ~ Ghostly Eyes (Illusionary Night ~ Ghostly Eyes)

So, let's continue with the Stage 1 appreciation, what we have here today is none other then Ghostly Eyes, my use-to-be favorite stage 1 theme, until UFO came with "At the End of Spring", and ZUN and his piano, which is now my favorite stage 1 theme. Seriously I think UFO's OST has the most amount of piano-work out of all the games, since it has much less of his trumpet, I mean, the first signs of his trumpet only appear at stage 4 (personally I think the stage 4 theme must be one of the most catchy themes in UFO, while Cosmic Mind is one of my favs). Since we're already talking UFO here, notice "Lullaby of Deserted Hell" stage 5? Anyways, summarizing, UFO's OST is awesome.

OK, enough about UFO, on to the song being arranged here, I dunno if it's because of the slightly jazzy vibe this song has, but I find it extremely catchy, a lot of times I find myself humming it and not even realizing what it is.
ZUN, would you please share some of your unlimited wisdom with us (along with some of you liquor- I mean elixir):

"In a way, I think it's a jazzy little number. But,
while it's pretty upbeat, it is somewhat dark.
But Imperishable Night is about night and youkai, so it's dark, too.
This song is part of "Ghostly Field Club," so many of you might know it.
The darkness in Stage 1 doesn't bode very well."
- ZUN, translated by Touhou Wiki

Thank you ZUN. Can't you feel the darkness coming out from this song or maybe those are Wriggle's insects? I don't like insects T_T, but fireflies are pretty. ^_^

So, are you asking yourself why I put an image of Maribel and Renko on a track that is technically in the IN OST? Well it's pretty simple, ZUN already explained most of it for me. I was actually looking for some Wriggle images, but well, believe it or not, I searched through over 500 images of Wriggle and other stuff and found no image that could actually go with the song. So I changed my mind and, like ZUN stated previously, seeing as this track is present also in the "Ghostly Field Club" original album of ZUN I saw this image and the song and voila, perfect match.

Hobby Atelier's second Symphonic Quest album is very tasty, full of orchestrated goodness, slight improvement from the first one, not that I disliked the first one, I loved both, I'm a man of orchestras after all.

Anyways, comment and whatnot.

Thanks for watching. The next video is the last of stage 1 appreciation, can you perhaps guess what I'll put up? The order was slightly jumbled up but well: SA, UFO, IN, ??. It's pretty easy to guess the last one, right?
