Flowering Night is one of the most FAMOUS (1) themes that ZUN has ever wrote. And I have the theory that one of the things that catapulted this theme to the FAME (2) is the arrange made by the now FAMOUS (3) circle Cool & Create. The chances you have heard this are big, since there are tons of different videos containing this song, but in case you haven't heard it, I'm talking about this:

Sakuya Izayoi has also acquired a lot of FAME (4). Looks like also ZUN nailed it at the moment creating this character. Perhaps she reunites all the requisites for a character to be sold in millions. White Hair+Maid Outfit+Anti-Hero+Secret Past+Uncanny Ability seems like a combination that can chant almost anyone.

But we finally reach the topic this description is aiming to, namely "FAME (5)". It's no secret that Touhou has reached quite a notable level of fame. Youtube is flooded with music that belongs to the circle, and counting the merchandise and circles that dedicate some of their products to Touhou is a task I consider impossible. But here is deal, until what point the fame benefits Touhou and in what point it doesn't.

I'm talking about this topic cause the this current Comicket hasn't been particular my favorite. I have come to realize that now is a harder to found an album focused in instrumental metal rather that with vocals, when 3 years ago, metal albums withe vocals were counted with the 5 fingers of 1 hand. There is also the issue about quality on metal albums (talking about metal albums because that I what I like most and it is the section I'm devoted to). When does an album that calls itself "Touhou Arrange Music" contains really music from the game rather than just using 5 seconds of the main song and the rest being of your own composition (I will not mention any names IRON!, don't worry).

My objective is not to take out my walk stick, grab my beard and start saying "When I arrived to this land...". Time goes on, and the flow of things demands a change, however there might be people whiling to accept it and others who will prefer stay in home until the storm has passed. And I think that I have made clear my position in these moments. No one who is on the other side has the right to judge the other and say he is incorrect for being on the other side, although what I am doing is a total contradiction on its own statement. I am no anthropologist (Thank God), but I think that a something moves to the next level culturally speaking when there is this kind of gap between the new and the old.

But here is the other issue with fame, until what point this channel is aiming to obtain more likes and subscriptions than the rest out there. I'm talking about this because many people has suggested me to upload some "new" circles and "new" albums rather than the old ones. But here is the deal, this "new" stuff is something I don't partciulary like. The aim from the beginning of this channel is to share the music I like, and to be honest all this new trend of Touhou Metal is something I'm not fond to it.

But anyway, please don't take this message personally. I am not pointing any names out, and I'm not saying that those who suggested it can go to hell. Contrary, I thank for those who suggested me to know what is people interested when it comes to the new trends on touhou music. This description is just an internal observation I have made, and so if you ever wondered why there is more instrumental music on this channel than vocals.

The vast land full that was once full of freedom now seems to be small and quite oppressive. Times change...times change indeed.

Thanks for watching.
