Description | Copy-paste from Jaefine: I personally see “Area” as the continuation of “World”. If “World” was about the war and the consequences it brought upon the people and their will to put an end to it, “Area” is the moment when one realizes all the efforts done so far have been worthless. In this “World” where there’s nothing left but conflicts, people began to build their own “Area” where they could still hope for a future; but the moment all your hopes are crushed, the moment even your “Area”, be it a person, a memory, or an object, is destroyed, there’s nothing left, but memories you cling at to not losing yourself, and bit by bit you start to realize that maybe are your efforts, everything you thought would have changed the future, would have putted an end to this war, has been meaningless. And this is what happens in this song. Two people, probably two comrades who became close friends, decided to not give up and to put an end to this war, and began their battle against this “enemy”. They fought many battles together and got hurt an equal number of times, but always survived, carrying on their bodies all the scars of this war. But one day, it happened what both of them never wanted to thought about: one of them was heavily injured and died, leaving the other one all alone. Everything that comes after, is written in this song, and if believing that, at the end, all the sacrifices made putted an end to the war – “I’m looking at the world you will never see”- or not –“Regret is the only thing left”- it’s up to you.
