Yesterday when I checked out the new k-waves album I was 100% satisfied (totally different from a certain UI-70), Kou Ogata, the arranger, stays as always strictly on the folkish side, but that's exactly why we love him, right? On to the song, I was surprised by how well Sanae's stage theme sounds "a la" folk. The original has a slightly peaceful ring to it, not the most peaceful tune ZUN composed, but a nice one nonetheless. I love the English name of the song, it gives that peaceful feeling to it. And, a ZUN comment: "This time, the Japanese element is deep throughout. Especially as it gets more Japanese the more you progress through the latter half. Comparing this tune to the others, the Japanese element is relatively small, but the very dark, nostalgic melody and rapid chorus feel very latter half." - Translated by Touhou Wiki Btw, anyone mind explaining why Sanae is getting this intense hate from fans? Is it because of UFO? Personally I loved UFO, the music, the gameplay, it was pretty nice. Or maybe it's cause she appears as a main character in not just one but two games?
