A re-upload of one of the first videos I put up on this channel.

The reason why I'm uploading this again is because the first video was of lower quality. To be honest there's barely any difference; you probably won't notice anyways. It's just this is one of my favorite Touhou arranges ever, so I wanted to make things right.

Another Tai no Kobone arrange! He's a pretty productive fellow, so you might have heard of him, definitely if you're into Touhou jazz. A lot of his work is out there so you can look him up. He leads one of my favorite circles which is Azure & Sands, but also releases music under other circles and even other aliases, such as mikusagi-P (ukon) in the Vocaloid scene. Not gonna say I enjoy all of his work because the instrumentation is a little hectic for me sometimes, but I have no doubt he knows a lot about composition, as demonstrated by this arrange (mind that this is from 6 years ago).

One of the things I love about this arrange is how it transitions seamlessly into the original melody, back and forth. A lot of Touhou arranges sound like they put the Touhou into the arrange but they would sound better without the original in them. Sometimes the originals just don't lend themselves well to rest of the composition, but this one flows rather nicely.

Another thing is how it kinda speaks to me personally. If you take off the technical goggles, this is the kind of music to get nostalgic to, don't you agree? Since the tempo is constant throughout the arrange, it's also pretty catchy, despite being overall soft (and it still has enough in the way of dynamics to keep you immersed). Everything adds up for a memorable piece.

Hope you enjoy this as much as I do. You can't get an original copy of this album anymore, as doujin releases often don't get reprinted, though these days with the increase of digital distribution this is changing.

Note: Choosing an illustration for this was tough, mostly because there are tons of mindblowing drawings out there. In the end, I chose the one with the least amount of views.
