You can feel the warmth building in your chest. That familiar, comforting feeling had returned, as you rushed round and through and past not just your friend, but your final and first duelling partner. As her red and white paper amulets sliced your arms and face, you can't help but smile like an idiot. The stinging pain is nulled by the thrill and excitement burning in your chest, and seeing her smile from across the airspace at you as she continued to pummel you with yin-yang orbs and pierce you with persuasion needles was enough to make you grin till your cheeks hurt.

Why? Of course, it seems completely foolish and simple to be smiling in such circumstances. But as you crossed your arms and aimed two small hakkeros at her, you knew; this wasn't a dream. This was so much more now. Reimu had never ended her dream and destroyed everything. As the intense magical energy pours from those two tiny weapons, you realise that, instead of ending, the dream had just split itself from the dreamer and taken physical form. Gensokyo was now sat square in the middle of Japan, still surrounded by that mystical Hakurei border; but it was real!

You quickly shove the hakkeros into two separate pockets, and focus your eyes on the cloud of smoke -- and there's Reimu; a bit scorched, but not a scratch on her. She keeps a calm face and walks on the air, as gracefully and fluidly as if she was actually still standing on terra firma. It's a fancy little trick she'd perfected, only for the purposes of showing off. However, watching her makes you smirk just a little, as you remember all the times you secretly watched her practise, and how much of a fool she'd looked. Now she did it like it was a talent that had been given to her. The way she walked so elegantly eerily reminded you of Sakuya.

"Hah, not bad, Marisa. Of course, I let you win." She smiles mockingly and you flush a little. "Like hell ya did, ya sore loser! I won fair and square, and you know it!". She shrugs a little, "Yeah, you did, I know. I still need to get a little used to this. I mean, it's a lot more difficult to win when you're not in control of everything around you, right?" She laughs a little, but then becomes more serious. "I'm sorry, you know. I'm sorry about everything. You were right, obviously, and now look what I've done. Everyone's disappeared, and there's not much any of us can do to bring them back...". You stop her by placing a hand lightly on her shoulder, but it still stings where the amulets have shredded your palm where you tried to cover your eyes. "Hey, don't worry about it. We're still here, right? It's all fine. Now, go and get a drink with Suika. I'm gonna head off and find Aya." And with that, you winked, gave a little salute, and headed off, as Reimu continued to stare off after you. "Marisa," she says quietly, "thank you."
