The phenomenona that stemmed for this track is something out of this world. Alstroemeria's shadow video release just half an year ago has scaled its spot up to 1,5 kk views on YouTube and is arguably progressing very healthily. Something of this caliber to take the spotlight at CNN is quite the... I keep my impressions to myself, somewhat... laudable. Or commendable, at least. It's not an easy feat. And while most honestly it straight up ruined Bad Apple indefinitely for me, we must not forget the credit we've given it before the shadow shenanigan thing played its role. And arguably, Bad Apple was already very much a standing presence amidst PC98 releases, and the entire franchise as a whole. Fortunately for all good and bad things alike there is a genre we call jazz whose influence turns the tide when it comes to my track considerations. And I most definitely would have forgotten or simply avoided this track altogether for, give it or take, another year, until it settled down at once, were it not for a jazz depiction of this theme. So amidst what we generally tend to frown upon as the 'casual touhou fandom' syndrome so bold within Bad Apple grounds, a wonderful and truly elegant song of a great theme is born. As my other strawberry crisis upload pertaining to this release, what we're gifted with here is another flying hit by the crew at rythmique and their new-found passion for one of the most charming genres around. |
