I just noticed this... the last video and this one could be called "Stage 1 appreciation". So show some love for the stage 1ies. O-life did something pretty particular this time round, though he doesn't cease to amaze me. He added a bit too much metal to his album this time, making some tracks pure metal, without classical. To be noted also is the fact that he kinda left behind his folkish stuff... which is sad, though I still like his new stuff. Some of his tracks though are still perfect for Merlin (as long as the "metal element" is made to ACCOMPANY the main track), like this epic track and the epic Kanako arrange, which where both on his website, along with a lot of those PC-98 arranges that he added (Shinki's theme and Yuka's). Although some of his stuff are pure metal which kinda turned me down a bit (not that I dislike them, but there are certain circles that should remain doing classical and folkish stuff, we already have enough metal circles on metal, and they are good at what they do! Some exceptions). Strange combo, Dark Phoenix + O-Life, well I liked the first track, Dark Phoenix does a lot of good stuff, but because of those synth guitars he ruins a lot of his potentially good songs Anyways, remember when I said it's "I wanted to celebrate the release of UFO" well this is the time to celebrate, champagne anyone?
