Description | (longest description ever because best song ever) "Even the blossoming flowers Will eventually scatter Who in our world Is unchanging ? The deep mountains of vanity-- We cross them today And we shall not see superficial dreams Nor be deluded." This is a translation of a famous poem called "Iroha". This song references the poem above in some lines : the 2 first lines in the song, "asaku asaku yumemi", "iro wa nioedo" and the part where she mentions a "iroha poem". After knowing this, not only does the song makes more sense, but the whole lyrics now are a lot sader. Everything is transient, even your presence and your life. The beggining is pretty well done. You don't clearly understand what the narrator means with all these metaphors. I bet this is the sensation you get when you're on the border between life and death. A dream-like feeling, being absent and being present at the same time. The world seems more beautiful and clear when you're about to leave it. What about this bud she's talking about ? I guess she's talking about herself. A bud is small in the huge and vaste world. A bud is born, then it dies, and it reborns endlessly. Or perhaps it could be her own heart, because here the verb for "breath" could mean "live". I think the part where it switches to "hey, bloom" is just the narrator hallucinating, hearing "bloom" rather than "wake up" because she's in her dream-like world. Then, she returns to reality... I imagine this girl with Lily's appearance, lying on a hospital bed with her friend/lover next to her, not accepting her to die. My imagination is crazy sometimes ahah. Happy picture isn't it ? I thought it transcribed well the feelings of the narrator. She's pretty sad to leave the world, but at the same time she knows she will be reborn, there's nothing to be afraid of, she can't escape it. I love this song so much. I'm pretty sure I could write about it a lot more but I'm not sure it will be interesting ahah. |
