I, for one, have never actually heard this particular song in game. In any case, I find Silence to be one of the odder sounding themes within Touhou. Pre-battle themes don't seem to get much love (with exceptions such as Broken Moon (could be due to it becoming Suika's theme later)). How often do you see someone mention Drunk as I Like, Demonic Place, The Legendary Titan, The Mound where the Flowers Reflect and so forth? For me, I've seen them being mentioned on several occasions, though you're more likely to run into somebody talking about a music cd or something about the PC-98 games. In any case, you should give Blikje Phantasm by Iemitsu. and 死神ヶ原/花の映る塚 by Jesus is Dead (just to name two), if you haven't at some point or another. As for the arrange, I honestly can't say I'm able to pick up on the original, even after listening to the original so many times in a row. That's not a bad thing imo, I think it makes the arrange more refreshing, not being able to recognize it and all. Sounds slightly similar to his/her History of the Moon arrange, which makes me think that it'd sound better if it had some vocals to go along with it (alright, I'll admit it, I just want to hear more of Sara's singing). |
