I dunno. Anyways, let's talk a little bit about stuff. Rib:y is probably one of the most popular scream vocalists and illustrators, not just on the Touhou scene, but on some other doujin circles (Vermillion-D Alice Syndrome and Imperial Circus Dead Decadence come to mind), but he really takes some getting used to. He does show lots of improvement, comparing his early works with Vaguedge (2010) to his songs in the latest Barrage Am Ring album (in which he is more melodic, more violent and even adds some variety in his singing). While this (I guess) counts as an early work, this one shows that he has talent at screaming. As for Ryu himself, by this point he had already released two of his "Symphonic Touhou" series, and his mastery of the genre was used well for this track. Also this is the first time he teams up with Asuka (his illustrator) to make a story in an album... which I don't know anything of. Hoorays. ... so yeah, an infodump for a description. Bottom line, I think both Ryu and Rib:y are good artists, but really it's really not for those who cannot get into the genre... I think? (An attempt at having a more "interactive" description? I don't even know) |
