Description | [Title] - 夜の山道不吉の鳥 [Author/Circle] - Ezel-Ash / Stygian Riverside [Album] - Forsaken [Event/Date] - Comiket 77 (Dec 30, 2009) [Original] - Song of the Night Sparrow ~ Night Bird ~ Stage 2 Theme [Game] - Touhou 08: Imperishable Night Ezel-Ash was one of the first arrangers I stumbled on and quite honestly, I still have no idea what this guy is. It seems he's done quite a few stuff for Stygian Riverside, but he also joined up with Elemental Records and a plethora of other circles. Is he a circle himself or simply an arranger? And that, my friend, is a mystery for the witches. Perhaps it is because of Ezel-Ash's questionable status in the industry that this mystical and dreamy combination of music+visuals sounds so nicely together, while honestly, perhaps, no, surely, I did not intend it at all, but there you go. I never grasped much of the fascination behind Mystia's themes, I think they're pretty forgetful if you ask me. I mean, I'm not saying they're bad themes per say... But they get rather overrun by the awesomeness that is the rest of IN's soundtrack. Even though, I still love the antics behind Mystia's persona. The power to twist visibility as you want is pretty diabolic. More than a powerful youkai, Mystia is more of a silent predator, the sting that turns you blind will drive you defenseless and render an easy prey out of virtually anyone. While I think ezel's repertoire has brighter outbursts, this one is pretty blissful if I must say. It's engaging, powerful, beautiful and shows that this man's talent will branch off to any sort of instrument. Thanks for listening! -- The Suzuran Parlour: http://thesuzuranparlour.wordpress.com/ |
