Sometimes, finding the right words for a song it's a little bit difficult.
In this case, minami in his already third album puts me in the razor edge, since I have been struggling during some days on how to express the wonderful levels this album reach.
I have never doubt of minami's talents behind the guitar, neither behind the arrange. However I felt that the first album was lacking of something I usually found exciting on the other metal albums I feature. Perhaps that was the problem, that it was more hard rock than heavy metal.

Without doubt, this albums demonstrates that minami is beyond this world, and that without a doubt is one to be considered as a "must have" in the Touhou Metal selection. Just listen to this song, with clear influences from Megadeath and with some progressive metal elements here and there, we should agree that to this date, this is the best arrange from Magus Night it has been done, or at least I consider it like that. Everything is in place, sweet harmonies, squealing guitars on the main lead, and crunchy riffs on the rhythm.

Magus Night has reached as one of the favorite among arrangers. And I don't see why not, the original song describes the type of character Marisa is. Not only that, the lead song it's pretty catchy, and enjoys a good balance between minor and mayor parts. Let alone the fact that the "Witchy" sound will be something awesome on a song. I never quite liked "Love-coloured Master Spark", and at sometimes whether being on a game or as a standalone song in an album I felt quite noisy and repetitive.
But Magus Night, it's quite of a song, that I never got tired of listening over and over because it's too damn awesome. It's a bit of a shame thought, that it was used on a joke game rather that on a real touhou game.

"At first I planned to make an arrangement of The Witches' Ball.
Since I composed it only with the impression left in my mind, it became a completely different song after all...
"A song arranged by the original composer can't be an arrangement" may mean this.
Anyway, isn't this a cool song? It's no problem if the song is good."---Zun@Music Room

Damn right Zun, damn right.

Thanks for watching.

UPDATE: athgard35 let us know the following information:

"Um. This track was not actually performed by minami alone.

minami produced the album, and played every instruments in other tracks. However, for this track, KIKKUN-MK-Ⅱ(old friend of minami) played the lead guitar and the backing guitar.

I am not saying that minami should not be credited for this track(hell, I loved other tracks, too!), but I just thought that KIKKUN should also get the attention he deserves"

Thanks for the information.
