Go on and call this upload one of my guilty pleasures, but it has all the good intention of featuring one of my favorite doujin circles.

六弦アリス (Rokugen Alice) is a circle I have always enjoyed. Describing their music is a bit complicated. While it isn't certainly metal, it still retains many of the rock elements, and throws the Gothic feeling every now and then. However they are not a gothic metal band, since some of their songs take completly this style and exchange it for pop. Hard rock is out of the question, since it is too "dark" to clasify for that. If this wouldn't be enough, they also has some jazzy/big band songs. So what style they play? It doesn't really matter, since everything sounds very good to my ears. By the looks of their album covers you could think they are kind of a "visual kei" band, but I don't have idea if they really perform live or not.

So anyway, this "fusion" doujin circle has always avoided game arranges, and I thought they would never came with it because their popularity resides on their original albums, but what was my surprise that in the past event, they released an arrange album and featuring Touhou Music. While the album jacket displays the characters from Fairy Wars, it contains arranges from the usual songs. Expect Remilia's and Sakuya's theme in there, as well as an arrange of the real China theme that will make you love more that song if you aren't in love if it already. As I said, its pretty difficult to label the music, be warned it's all vocal, and that the guitar work is not precisely what is usually found around here, but considering as a whole set of ideas I say it's something way beyond descent.

The particular song it was featured today was mainly because Magus Night has become on fo my favorite songs. I've never really understood why Marisa had themes such as "Love Colored Master Spark". Marisa "English witch" cliche begs for a tipycal "wicked" kind of theme. Magus Ball was my favorite theme, but now Magus Night cames to carry on with that legacy, and I really hope the kind of things featuring Marisa would be more like this in the future. It's funny isn't it? Does someone knows where all this "wicked song" cliche comes from? I have to accept I have no idea. A vague theory could be the early 60's TV series, and when "A Go Go" and "Surf" style of music was everywhere. Still I can't trace the beginning of this kind of vibe there is on every Witch song.

Thanks for watching.
