Oh man
It's the goddamn cat lullaby stage theme again
For hell's sake ;__;

I'm sorta pushing myself here to believe you're not a true fan of novelty because I can't gift you with such at this specific occasion. At least it isn't an overused IOSYS theme or something. Hey, I wouldn't put that one past myself. Not that I'm raging or submitting IOSYS by any routes or means yadda yadda yadda, don't butcher me.

The blazing cat makes her resurgence (although I think this is my first Lullaby upload. I don't even know, I just can't get over the fact it may be the first in the channel) with a rather flaming song itself... And let it be know that whichever it is lacking in intensity should be made up for in touching piano shredding that makes the frozenmost of hearts melt. And lots of rays beaming picture effects into your pupils.

Despite the circumstances warranting Rin's presence in this one, I think Lullaby doesn't fit Rin at all and that's something we can all probably agree on. This particular theme among many others just goes to support ZUN makes his music renditions one by one, ditty by ditty, free of any restraining antics. Each theme is a full-fledged track in its own right.
To that extent, you could say this is more of a tribute to a former, decadent hell at which a single glance inspires empathy for the dreaded fall of an imposing concept of sorts that it represents.
But more than that, it should be noted that the flames of this specific hell are regulated by the corpses that Rin carries over, which is also a pretty pitiful situation to sull at, so to speak.

On another note, it could be said that this theme goes even as far as telling the tale of the 5th stage itself rather nicely. The more intense parts could be the daunting confront with the Catwalk and then, as it dies off, it's a walk through the streets of this fallen hell.
